Class Descriptions

 

ABS ONLY

30 minutes of pure abs with complementing back strengthening exercises – fantastic for firming and flattening the abs.

 

RESULTS

A winning formula involving intervals of cardio on the step and weights for toning.  This unique freestyle format is always popular and has been recognised nationally as an outstanding program developed by Re-Creation instructors.

 

BURNING RESULTS

A combination of our popular Results & Rope Burn programs this class will challenge, tone & definitely deliver burning results.

 

ROPE BURN

Skipping rope class using a variety of skips, jumps and twirling routines.

 

SPIN

Spin is the fastest way to burn calories and get super fit.  Remember your towel and drink bottle...you’re gonna need them.  Bike resistance is adjustable so that all fitness levels are welcome.    Spin classes are all 45mins unless stated otherwise.

 

BOXING CIRCUIT

Using a variety of contact boxing equipment such as bags, speedballs as well as skipping ropes, kettlebells, medicine balls, bikes, weights.  Two minute rounds ‘ding ding’-  great stress buster workout.

 

POWERTREK (45 mins)

Walking and running program on the treadmills.  Led by a motivating trainer and energising music.  Unique equipment based cardio class

TRX EXPRESS (30 mins)

30 minute intense TRX specific training session.  TRX suspension training is one of the most effective and revolutionary ways to develop functional strength.  Numbers limited.  Tokens must be collected from Reception prior to class.

 

TRX/CIRCUIT (45 mins)

Functional strength training class using a TRX suspension training system in a circuit style format.

Dance Classes

If you love to move and groove with dance rhythms, you’ll love getting fit through dance… great news is… you don’t have to be a dancer!!

 

ZUMBA

It’s all the rage…from Hollywood to Europe, people from all cultures are doing ZUMBA. Recently featured on TV, this is a mixture of dance and sculpting steps derived from Meringue, Salsa, Reggae, Hip Hop, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco and Calypso.

 

JAZZ

Funk, Hip Hop, Groove.  Warm up with a Jazz and conditioning segment followed by a routine designed to produce a great cardio fitness workout.

Mind Body Classes

Balance your workouts with exercise that develops a mind body awareness and inner strength.  These classes focus on length, strength, flow, balance and posture.  They leave you feeling renewed and uplifted and are important in avoiding injury through development of core strength, back strength and functional mobility.

 

PILATES MAT

Well known body conditioning system of centering the body, releasing strain and strengthening core muscles.  Correct breathing techniques are essential.  Suitable for beginners.

 

YOGA

Every instructor has their own particular style. Our instructors are all fully trained and experienced.  Some of the techniques include: Iyenga, Power Yoga, Shadow flowing sequence.

 

FITBALL

A unique and effective exercise class using fitballs plus weights to sculpt and tone every muscle whilst providing core stability and functional strength.

 

TAI CHI

This traditional form of exercise from Ancient China has proven to be beneficial for improving range of motion, strength, and improved relaxation levels.

BodyBalance Is a Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
